TECHNIWAVE has in development a family of RF Transceiver for Mobile Backhaul. Due to the spectacular growth in wireless data traffic, telecom companies need to deploy multi-gigabit backhaul links. Solutions using wireless backhaul in the E-band (71-76 and 81-86GHz) will open up 10GHz frequency range. This enables datarates > 1Gbit/s for video and data service.
Those compact sub-systems integrate all RF blocks, like Power Amplifier (PA), Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), direct mixing with analog differential I-Q interfaces, baseband filters, receiver gain control, adjustable Tx Gain and output power and frequency synthesizer. A µstrip to Waveguide transition have been optimized to achieve minimum losses behind the antenna. A duplexer is mounted directly on transceiver mechanics to achieve a low noise factor.
